How it works

From first call to first session, step by step

Starting with a new NDIS provider shouldn't feel like paperwork. Here's exactly what happens, what we do, and what you decide along the way.

The five steps

What happens, in order

1

Get in touch

Call, email or sign up. We'll have a chat about what you're looking for, with no pressure to decide.

2

Tell us about you

We go through an intake form with you: your goals, the support you'd like, and what helps and what doesn't. In the app or over the phone.

3

Agree your plan together

We prepare your service agreement and support plan from what you've told us. Take your time, and talk them over with family, a friend or an advocate if you'd like.

4

Meet your worker

We match you with a worker who suits your needs and tell you who's coming before your first session.

5

Your support starts

See your sessions, check your service records and contact us in the United As 1 app, or by phone.

Your agreement is with us

One agreement, one accountable provider

Not a marketplace, not a contract with a worker. United As 1 is responsible for your support.

What the service agreement means

Your service agreement is with United As 1 Pty Ltd, a registered NDIS provider.

It says what support you'll get, when, and what it costs, within NDIS price limits.

You can read it, ask questions and take your time before signing. Nothing starts until you agree.

You can change or end it with notice, and we'll help you move if you choose another provider.

The exact wording you signed is kept, and you can always read it again in the app.

Questions

Good to know

How long does it take to start?

It depends on how quickly we can go through your intake and agreement together. Most people can start within a couple of weeks of first contact, sooner when it's urgent.

Can I change my mind about a worker?

Yes, at any time. Tell us and we'll arrange someone else.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Please give us 48 hours' notice where you can. Cancel in the app or call us.

Can my support coordinator or family do this with me?

Of course. We're happy to talk with whoever you'd like involved.

Not sure where to start?

Call us for a friendly chat about what you're looking for. There's no pressure to decide, and we're happy to talk with your family or coordinator too.
